Christmas

This morning I am taking some time to read blogs and pondering the meaning of Christmas and I read these words

Yes, Christmas is about love. That's why it can be a time for joyous celebration, but also a time when our hearts ache, too. Love brings remembrance of times past, of those who were dear to us who are no longer with us, and it brings hope for the future and gratitude for what's all around us. If we're lucky we get to feel the whole spectrum so we appreciate the joy even more. Kateri, Unweaving the Nest

DSC_0027This was the first "stair photo" when Justin was a year old.
DSC_0027Here they are 14 years later still willing to sit on the stairs for a photo….OK I bribe them…. they are not allowed to open presents until I take their picture.
DSC_0027They know the picture is a small price to pay for what waits ahead in the next room.
DSC_0027When I see how quickly all that searching, shopping, wrapping, organizing, hiding of gifts becomes this heap of trash, I wonder why do I make such a fuss about Christmas?
DSC_0027This year I found the answer. For all the smiles, laughter and love.
