Surrender

September 27 – September 29, 2007 I know what the answer is; it is to give up, to relinquish to surrender, so that our little hearts may beat in unison with  the great heart of the world – Henry Miller
My weekend is winding to an end. It started on Friday with a fabulous trip to New York city with 7 wonderful women.

It was a wonderful day full of shopping and lots of laughter. We took the Megabus from Baltimore to Penn station and back.
We covered allot of ground in one day.
The garment district to Carmine's for lunch. Then down to the subway and on to Chinatown.
Much haggling was done for the perfect pocketbook. But I think the sunglasses where the biggest hit. How can forty and fifty something women instantly look thirty.

Finally a stroll through little Italy and a stop for coffee and sweets. Time was passing so quickly. Before we knew it we had to head back towards Penn Station to catch the bus back home. So for one day we surrendered our lives back home and became undomesticated, adventurous, giddy, and lighthearted women. Our little hearts were beating in unison with the big heart and soul of New York City.
