May 9 & 10 2007 Prayer by Mary Oliver
It doesn’t have to be
the blue iris, it could be
weeds in a vacant lot, or a few
small stones; just
pay attention, then patch
the blue iris, it could be
weeds in a vacant lot, or a few
small stones; just
pay attention, then patch
a few words together and don’t try
to make them elaborate, this isn’t
a contest but the doorway
into thanks, and a silence in which
another voice may speak.
Yesterday (meaning Thursday) I practiced praying and being silent. I have become interested in two words interconnected and organic. Here are some photos of what my silence and thoughts led me to created….Stencil & Stamps and a few embellishments.
You are just pure colour aren’t you??? No dulling it down for you! I love it…and I love that poem by Mary Oliver, too.
Glad you had some time for silence…you have been so very busy!
